I must say this was a very well-packaged curriculum. It was culturally relevant to students, and they were able to identify with the content and see themselves within the curriculum, which made learning more meaningful. It was aligned to the district and included more hands-on experiments and labs for students to engage in. Most importantly, the students enjoyed the curriculum. Because everything was so well packaged for teachers, it gave us more time to focus on our students.

This semester I am teaching a new course, and I was not quite sure how to introduce my students to science. Then I remembered to check the Culturally Relevant Science curriculum hub, and I was able to come up with a plan in less than 15 minutes using the resources, lessons, and activities they had to offer. Our students really enjoyed the activities, and it got them engaged right away. It gave them a chance to be innovative and creative while starting to think about basic engineering practices and how to view the world in scientific ways.
